Registration for TrEx is now open!
Get ready for the most expansive TrEx yet! This year’s Training Extravaganza offers nearly 70 sessions across every corner of Scouting—Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, Sea Scouts, OA, and Exploring—along with an incredible lineup of general interest, leadership, camping, and tech-awareness workshops. Youth can dive into 5 new Merit Badge classes offered and career-building opportunities like résumé coaching, financial literacy, college pathways, and drug awareness/Narcan training. Adults can choose from dozens of new and returning sessions covering program development, safety, recruitment, STEM, high-adventure planning, budgeting, Scoutbook tools, and best practices for strengthening units. With course options ranging from hands-on knot tying and Dutch oven cooking to internet safety, Eagle project guidance, patrol games, and bilingual “What Is Scouting” presentations, TREX 2026 delivers something for every leader, parent, and Scout. Explore new ideas, sharpen your skills, and learn from Scouters across all five boroughs as we come together for a full day of training, growth, and fun.
What is TREX? Why should You attend?
GNYC Training Extravaganza is a supplemental training opportunity organized and taught by volunteer instructors. It is the only time during the year when you can find, all in one place, the widest variety of training opportunities in all program areas: Cub Scouting, Scouts BSA, and Venturing, as well as sessions for district volunteers and commissioners. Whether you are new to Scouting or a veteran, TREX provides interesting courses for all. Courses will include some of your favorites from years past and some exciting new content. You don’t want to miss TREX!
