Gathering Waters District Spring Camporee

Event Details

The 2024 Gathering Waters District Spring Camporee is intended for Webelos and Scouts BSA youth.  It will surely be among the first of many great and fun events this "Scouting" year.  Mark your calendars now and plan to participate in this great spring event!

This fun-filled weekend will be held Camp Rokilio, April 19-21, 2024. Please plan to bring your own food and cook your own Troop campsite meals. The cost is $15 per person which includes a patch, merit badge supplies and instruction.  Cost will be $20.00 after 4/9/24, so register early to get the lower registration cost!

Merit badges offered will be: First Aid, Public Health, and Emergency Preparedness.  You must take First Aid in the morning, in order to do Emergency Preparedness in the afternoon, if you do not already have the First Aid merit badge.  First Aid merit badge is a prerequisite for Emergency Preparedness merit badge.  Public Health Merit badge will be offered again on Sunday morning for all youth, and a Leave no Trace basic course, will be offered Sunday morning for all adults (youth can attend this as well).

Trainings offered will be: Leave no Trace, Wilderness First Aid (extra charge of $100.00), and IOLS (extra charge of $15.00 if eating with your Troop, and $30.00 if eating with IOLS group).  Please register for these trainings in this site, expect for IOLS, that will be it's own registration link. IOLS (Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills) will be offered from Saturday morning, 4/20/24 to Sunday morning 4/21/24.  The registration link will be separate from the Spring Camporee, so Click Here for the IOLS registration page.

CPR Basic Life Saving (BLS) and AED Certification. This class is being offered to anyone who would like to earn two-year certification for BLS CPR and AED on Friday evening. Those seeking re-certification can test out at the beginning of class while anyone interested for the first time should plan on taking the full class from 7:00 - 10:00 pm. The cost for re-certification or initial certification is $15. Adults registered for Wilderness First Aid will receive certification instruction during their WFA course. Scouts working on First Aid Merit Badge do not need full certification; CPR and use of an AED will be covered during the merit badge session.

We expect to have a great crowd and a fantastic weekend, but for the camporee to be successful, we need YOU!

How can you help?  Above all, come prepared to have fun.  Bring every member of your Troop and Webelos Den to participate. Webelos can camp with a Troop or on their own.  It is a great way to see if the scouts would like to cross over to a specific Troop by camping with them! We want all Webelos to see exactly how much fun it is to join a Scouts BSA Troop.
