Archery, BB, and Slingshot Rangemaster Training

This course will qualify adults 18 years and older to supervise and instruct archery, BB, and slingshot activities at a BSA camp or at any district or Council activity.
It also satisfies the need for a Rangemaster at any Scouts BSA or Venturing unit-level activity involving archery, BB guns, or slingshots. Range and Target Sports are not an approved unit activity for Cub Scouts.
Trained Rangemasters are also needed to supervise use of GMC’s inflatable archery range.
We are offering this course in April 2025 and June 2025. Each offering consists of two parts - a zoom classroom component and an in-person practical. Both parts are required to receive your certification which is valid for two years.
The course has a classroom component and a hands-on Shooting Experience. You must complete both parts to be certified (class first).
Part 1 - Zoom Session (class portion)
Class will be held via Zoom on Friday evening from 6 pm - 9 pm.
Part 2 - In Person Practical (both parts required)
In person (practical) - Saturday from 9:00 AM - 1 PM at R&L Archery in Barre. All participants need to bring their own lunch & snacks.
Many thanks to your instructor, Jeff Carrara.
--There is no fee for this training, but you must "check out" to complete registration. Please indicate if you are taking certification for Archery only or both Archery & BB Range.
