Camping

Camping is encouraged and a bonus to your registration cost, but not required.  Our goal is to have the largest encampment ever in the state of Michigan

 

New 09/10/2024

Disabilities Awareness Merit Badge is being offered in the Disabilities Awareness Tent to Scouts BSA youth on Saturday from 11am to 1pm or 2pm to 4pm.  Youth can sign up with a paid registration.  It is limited to 15 youth.

Canoeing is available For Scouts BSA/Venturers and Sea Scouts during the day on Saturday.  You may sign up for it if your unit is paid in full. 

Units are responsible for their youth's safety by complying with the BSA Paddlecraft Safety requirements related to canoeing https://troopleader.scouting.org/program-features/paddle-sports/information/

The Detroit Pistons will offer a Basketball Clinic for Scouts at this year’s Rendezvous in the D. Each clinic will last 45 minutes and limited to 45 scouts to ensure each Scout gets a great experience. The clinics will be offered to participants in specific grades and are included in the cost of the full weekend Rendezvous fee.

Clinics are for older Cub Scouts (Bears, Webelos, and Arrow of Light, or 3rd to 5th grade only), Scouts BSA (grades 6-8 only), and older Scouts BSA, Venturers, or Sea Scouts (Grades 9-12). The clinics will focus on Basketball skills and drills and will be an excellent addition to your scouts’ Saturday events. Due to the nature of this event, registration will only be available to attendees who have paid in full. 

This event is open to everyone except Lions, Tigers, Wolves, and Saturday-only attendees, 

Clinic Times

Grades 3-5, 1:30-2:15

Grades 6-8, 3:00-3:45

Grades 9-12 4:15-5:00

Meals are available for purchase:

4 meals (Saturday Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Sunday Breakfast) - additional $45.00 per person

Saturday Only Lunch - additional $10.00 per person

When you come to the participant information page during the registration process there will be an option to select if you would like to additionally purchase the meals.

There are 4 main registration options for Rendezvous 2024

  • Scouts BSA Troop
  • Venturing Crews/Sea Scout Ships
  • Other Youth Organizations – This event is open to all youth organizations

Registration is quick and easy.  This simplest (and most cost-efficient) way to register for Cub Scouts is as a family. The simplest (and most cost-efficient) way to register as a Scout, Venturer, or Sea Scout is as a unit.
