at Meritrust Credit Union!

 

This workshop will be presented in the morning and is hosted and sponsored by Meritrust Credit Union. These classes will present the scouts with information and guidance pertaining to the Personal Management merit badge, an Eagle-required merit badge. The instructor for this workshop is a financial education specialist from Meritrust.  Personal management is about the scout learning the life skills to take control of his or her life by setting and attaining goals, financial and otherwise. Information presented and classroom activities performed will prepare the scout to meet with a Personal Management merit badge counselor and complete several of the merit badge requirements.

*Note: This workshop will present information concerning requirement numbers 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, and 7 preparing Scouts for a productive merit badge counselor session to fulfill those requirements. There will be a number of Personal Management merit badge counselors available at the conclusion of the workshop to work individually with the Scouts to facilitate “blue card” sign offs of these requirements, or the Scouts can take their notes and work with a local merit badge counselor at a later date. Scouts who bring completed exercises prescribed in requirements 1 and 2 will also be able to receive “Blue Card” sign-offs for those items.

 

9:00 a.m. to 12:00pm 

Registration fee is $15.00 per Scout.  Registrations after Nov. 15 will be $20 per Scout    Last day to register online: Friday, Nov. 22.

Refunds are not available but may be transferred to another Scout under same registration.

This event is open to the FIRST 60 Scouts and accepted on a first come, first serve basis of paid pre-registration. Online payment is required and can be made by credit card or electronic check.

A note to Leaders: Please keep in mind the following Assignments:

It is suggested that the Scout use a copy of the Personal Management Merit Badge workbook (available on usscouts.org/mb/worksheets/list.asp) for taking notes.  Scouts who bring completed exercises prescribed in requirements 1 and 2 will be able to receive “Blue Card” sign-offs for those items.
