Canoeing Merit Badge and Paddle Craft Safety

The Three Fires Council Scouting America, in partnership with The Forege Lemont Quarries, is ready to challenge Scouts to learn and earn their Canoeing Merit Badge.  Paddle Craft Safety will be offered for adults at the same time.

Our auquatics instructors are Eagle Scouts and Scout Leaders with decades of experience in lake, river, whitewater, and Boundary Waters paddling. 

•WHAT- Canoeing Merit Badge or Paddle Craft Safety (adult)
•WHERE- The Forge: Lemont Quarries, 227 Heritage Quarries Dr, Lemont, IL 60439
•WHEN- 6/1/25    8:00 am-4:00 pm
•Cost for MB- $60.00 fee covers Counselors, Canoes/Kayaks, Paddles/PFDs, permits, snacks and drinks (please bring your own lunch).  $0 for Paddle Craft Safety with an additional work day. (please bring your own lunch). The Rorge will have food options on site for additonal purchase. 
•On land requirements and the PCS test will be covered at a later date to be announced.
•PREREQUISITES- Successful completion of the BSA Swim test; completion of Merit Badge workbook, and review of requirements

Paddlecraft Safety Course will have a classroom session May 29th at 7pm at the council office in St. Charles, IL.
