Aquatics Supervision: Paddle Craft Safety

September 4th and 7th, 2025

The Three Fires Council Scouting America, in partnership with Silver Springs State Park, is to offer scouters to be trained in Paddle Craft Safety.

Our auquatics instructors are Eagle Scouts and Scout Leaders with decades of experience in lake, river, whitewater, and Boundary Waters paddling. 

•WHAT- Paddle Craft Safety (adult)
•WHERE- Silver Springs State Park (Loon Lake) 13608 Fox Road, Yorkville, IL 60560
•WHEN- 9/4/25  7:00 pm - 9:30pm (Classroom) AND 9/7/25  8:00 am-4:00 pm (In Water)
•Cost- $60.00 fee covers Canoes/Kayaks, Paddles/PFDs, permits, please bring your own lunch, patch and training card.
•On land requirements and the PCS test will covered on 9/7.
•PREREQUISITES- Successful completion of the BSA Swim test

Paddlecraft Safety Course will have a classroom session 9/4 at 7pm at the council office in St. Charles, IL.
